Nikkei surged by 1,993.76 points or 2.99% to 68,728.00, Straits Times rose by 35.55 points 0.70% to 5,132.97, Taiwan weighted soared by 923.76 points or 2.03% to 46,481.07, Shanghai Composite up by 22.84 points or 0.56% to 4,097.94, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI index climbed by 6.91 points or 0.41% to 1,689.98.
On the flip side, Hang Seng tumbled by 446.32 points or 1.74% to 25,592.00, and Jakarta Composite down by 231.39 points or 3.73% to 5,964.04.
