Asian markets traded mostly higher in early deals on Tuesday, buoyed by the risk appetite followed by the interim US-Iran peace deal, easing energy-led inflation worries. Capitalizing on worldwide artificial intelligence infrastructure investments, regional semiconductor and technology firms saw substantial market gains. The Bank of Japan’s rate hike and the Federal Reserve’s rate hold boosted confidence among Asian stock investors. South Korea’s KOSPI surged for a fourth straight session, as new high-bandwidth memory (HBM) releases propelled market heavyweights Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. Stock market of Indonesia is closed for Islamic New Year (Hijri).

Nikkei rose by 416.50 points or 0.60% to 69,734.00, Straits Times ascended by 27.67 points 0.54% to 5,104.96, Taiwan weighted up by 140.40 points or 0.31% to 45,537.39, KOSPI Index soared by 189.38 points or 2.22% to 8,735.36, Shanghai Composite added by 2.38 points or 0.06% to 4,098.85, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI index higher by 13.88 points or 0.82% to 1,705.27.

On the flip side, Hang Seng down by 297.67 points or 1.20% to 24,545.00.
